ºÚÁϸ£ÀûÍøis committed to closing equity gaps to increase access to educational and assessment materials so all learners can demonstrate their potential. ACT’s digital accessibility efforts are designed to reduce barriers to accessing ACT’s online learning and assessment content.

Through policies that balance fairness, transparency, and effectiveness, ºÚÁϸ£ÀûÍøis creating a model for assessment delivery, reporting, and preparation that gives all learners the opportunity to demonstrate their competence and proficiency confidently and accurately. WCAG Conformance
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA,and Level AAA. ºÚÁϸ£ÀûÍøis committed to creating accessible websites, products, and services in accordance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards.
Accessibility Conformance Reports
Accessibility Conformance Reports (ACRs) show ACT’s commitment to accessibility. These detailed reports can be used by educators, organizations, and government professionals to make decisions about procurement and accessibility integration within their organization. ºÚÁϸ£ÀûÍøis continually testing and improving the accessibility of our products and services, and reports will be added and updated as improvements are made. Our testing process includes a combination of product knowledge, automated accessibility testing tools, manual testing, and usability testing with screen reader users, magnification users, and alternative navigation users.
Accessibility of act.org
Key accessibility features on act.org include:
- All elements of the website are keyboard operable.
- Images have alternative text or, when decorative, they are delivered in a way that is ignored by assistive technology.
- Videos have captions available.
- Color is not used as the only means of communicating information.
- Sufficient contrast is used for text and icons.
- Headings are organized in a logical way to facilitate navigation.
- A "Skip to content" link is available on every page to bypass navigation.
- Forms and interactive elements have accessible labels.
- Navigation and help are consistently located.
This website (https://act.org) is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA due to the exceptions listed below:
- Input fields do not have autocomplete options.
- Videos do not have audio description for people with visual impairment.
- Some integrated third-party forms used to sign up to receive email updates or marketing materials are missing labels on input fields.
- Screen readers may pronounce Spanish words used on the site incorrectly.
- Headings on a few detail pages skip levels.
